How are weekly lease costs and tax savings calculated?

Weekly costs have been determined by comparing the post-tax position of including a car through a novated lease vehicle package with no leased vehicle. Estimates provided are based on the following Novated Lease package:

  • Employee Contribution Method (Salary Sacrifice)
  • 5 year term with 28.25% residual amount owing at lease end^
  • 12,000 kilometres per year and budgeted estimated running costs
  • $80,000 gross annual salary
  • NSW on road costs
